SCKLM Training - Sunday, 21/06/09

Tapering off period continues... I went to Kepong Metro, only to find out that Jacob's Walk of Life was about to be gunned off.

This is going to be awesome, I said.

For whatever reason, I love weaving between people, sort of cheap adrenalin to me.

After my first loop, I found myself within the sea of yellow-walkers, weaving in and away... There were few runners doing the same, and we pace each other, which was great. What a good way to mentally prepare for the marathon next week.

Stopped on the 14th km, and walk for a couple of kms to warm down.

I suppose I have tried my level best to train for this virgin marathon within my means and professional work. Whatever may happen on that day, I will see that I finish the race and not DNQ-ing. I can only see myself into many rest, drink lots of water, watch my food etc, and make sure I will stand on the starting grid, injury-less (relatively) and anxiously enjoying the race...

This coming 6 days will be filled with daily short runs at the park, few sprints and some uphill climbs. Will avoid weights, and do a lot of stretching, squats, lunges, and bridges.

Final week, people...
