Wednesday Run - 19/08/09
Ramadhan is fast approaching and I really need to practise my agility to run to the nearest PARAM (a term we used in school last time for Pasar Ramadhan in short) for my favourite karipaps and wifey's tepung pelita.
Went to KLCC and ran a longer 9.5k this morning. With no Strength Training today, I had ample time to stretch, warm down, and drove to the office for shower, and still be early. Bagus, bagus...
With another 4.5k to do this evening, I thought it was totally doable. But the evening session was more of a fast-walk with daughter Iris (she spent an evening at my office as her sitter's house/roof was blown off in a storm on Tuesday).
Whatever it takes, I will take it even though it means carrying my daughter around town on my shoulder. Walau bagaimanapun, I sometime cannot fathom this obsession of going all the way to that extent to run.
Can't I simply take it easy and go to the playground with Iris (that's the leftover 'M' bug talking). On a bright side, I got Iris to do some exercise, and she dutifully went to bed at 9p.m., and left the telly all to myself.
Whatever it is, I think I am more scared to ever be complacent in life. Not fighting for something on a regular basis wore me out. Fight, win (or conquer), and satisfied (selfish thought?).
Which got me thinking - to design Ramadhan training session for myself (theme : the karipap run)
