Coming Back Online

Hello again... it's been awhile, I know...

There have been a lot of things going on, that I would stare at the ceiling and the thought of putting them up in this space. But more importantly, and honestly, I was swamped. The work and other things buried me so deep. Have I told you we are playing poker now with our Client?

Yup, I was drawing cards, calling their bluffs etc. That took all my days, literally. I would sit on my chair, put my running songs and run my iPod hours on end so my colleagues would not bother me. I would not bore you with the details. Just the fact that we got through poker round 1. There will be a round 2, come first week of October, and already BigBoss is calling on our Raya breaks to work.

Strike One...

My trainer would also be pleased to know that I have been going to the gym for my weights. Although the weights are oh-so the very light, but I went nonetheless, 4 days a-week. To my surprise (I know, sounded a bit jakun), there are many Muslims training just before the Iftar too. In them I drew inspiration, and I had to drive like mad from Pavilion to Gombak to fetch Iris just minutes before Iftar. I'd then sip on my shakes.

Understandably, due to loss of water, my weight dropped dramatically to below my ideal weight. This, I am sure will return just after Hari Raya, so no need to raise any alarm, although I have received many concerns from relative and friends (even my BigBosses) that I do not look good with my cheekbones sticking out (ada je bahan nak komen...).

My diet has also changed this Ramadhan, but will cover that later.

I am not so big on sahur, just a bowl of cereals or some 3-in-1 drinks with crackers (much to wifey's discomfort). This year seems very hard to push a spoonful of rice whatsoever. This was evident that running in the evening was reduced to many short versions of LSDs at the park. But hey, I just need to keep on moving. The mistake I did last year was laying low (too low), that it was extremely hard to spring back after all the lemangs, ketupats etc. It took me 3 months to return from that into running again.

This is the last week. I will visit the gym for the last time this Ramadhan. All workouts will be intensified, immediately upon our return to KL.

In the radio today, the deejay said, 'Syawal is the month to forgive, so if you happen to eat too much, you can always forgive yourself...'. Unintentionally cruel...

What's a short version of LSDs, actually?

Hey, you're right abt taking too much pulut & santan, badan jadi bisa2 and add the fact that we haven't really been training sufficiently during puasa, it'll be hard to pick up again. I learned it the hard way in 2007.
