6th Anniversary
We celebrated our 6th Anniversary yesterday. In between the rush back to KL, groceries shopping, picking up the bib/vest for Salomon etc, we settled at Madam Kwan at Midvalley. It has now been getting a lot more things but the anniversary lunch/dinner alone, as compared to the first few when the whole afternoon or evening dedicated especially for us. It was a quiet event for us.
Unlike our other lucky friends who have babysitters, or even better - a maid, our anniversary dinner last night was chaotic between Iris running around at the Toys'r'Us next door, phone calls, fatigue from the long drive, other distractions etc. But I have enjoyed this enriching experience, of how our small family has grown and demands more of us. It was more just the two of us.
By next year, we'll have a wailing kid on a stool!
Nothing fancy this year, we even cut on presents as we are saving up.
At Madam Kwan, we had few delicious dishes - namely the Ikan Tenggiri Masak Asam, the beansprouts in oyster sauce, lady's finger goreng belacan (yumm!), fried chicken, and this desert they calls Golden Dream! There was no healthier choice in the menu, but we tried to be sensible, and not too strict and enjoy a little. Iris definitely enjoys the fried chicken (drumstick, the Upin-Ipin style) and the beansprouts. Needless to say, she's the big winner on the Golden Dream.
