SCSM Training - 30/11 and 01/12/09 (KLCC Park)
4 days to go!
Truth is, I do not have the scare I had during KLIM, now knowing that in a worst-case scenario, I could walk and still arrive in cut-off time. Of course, my friends - I will (try) not do just that.
I am feeling OK, some left groin pain still apparent but goes off after a km or so, so joint pains on my knee and ankles, but so far it is bearable. I am still running this week, so that is quite comforting. Had a short 6.5km with Ian at KLCC on Monday under such wonderful weather, and today was another 8km in the rain, as I joined Ronnie (PM1) for the first time as an AdiRunner, together with 10-or-so others. On top of my warm-up lap, we did a 5-loops, and I clocked 37 mins - saving my feet, lah. I did an average of 6mins/lap/1.3km, and the pace dissipated towards the end.
AnR is good as I get to run with a trainer who splurges on free advice and tips, we run in groups every week, so there are things to look forward to, and as usual - the running crowd are happy and cool lots... From this group today, some of them are going to SCSM and staying together with us at YMCA! Good guys... And above all, all of the above for free (just pay carparking fee of RM3 only). OK, what...
Saya kawan Adidas!
Wednesday will be an easy 2-miler. Will look on the diet now. Now hot and oily food, and stock up on proteins, rehydrate and get more sleep.
Easy now, guys...
