Just another manic monday
I came into the office today, and stared at my laptop for a good 5 minutes, trying to remember my own password. Nevermind my Dory-ness, I have been away from work too long. I brought home tonnes of sketches to work on, none of them touched - I spent time playing Sesame Street games, and taught my daughter to doodle. I brought many trade literatures to read, but I spent reading Peter and Jane to Iris instead.
I have spent days running ever so slowly trying to collect whatever mileages for Energizer, and laps in the pool, which has become enjoyable to do nowadays.
The 9-days break was a bliss!
Yesterday was no less uneventful - ran Bukit Aman - Jalan Duta, and back. Arrived late, after a late hour night with relatives - socialising-etc, only to be engulfed in the sea of runners at Bank Negara, who blazed the streets doin the 7km City Day Run. FOr a while, unsuspectingly, I was in the front pack - but being a recovery run, I was quickly placed in the mid pack, where we set separate ways, as I turned into Tijani. Hanchik came from behind, and ran strong into the crowd.
Quickly made a U-turn at Jalan Duta, but stopped at Laman Tunku, thinking of going up. Attempted for 100-metres, but cancelled the idea as I promised wifey for a family breakfast with our guests at home, and I hate to be late. The remaining chapter was as predictable as a peanut, and reached home. The rest of the day was spent with legs raised up and lots of rest. I stared blankly at the pool as the sky broke with thunder and rain, missing the laps but hey, can't win everything.
Nowadays, it itches if I do not move an inch, which can't be a bad thing, right.
It is back in the office again on a Monday morning. Glad to know all relatives and friends made it back home and to work safely and well rested. Have a great week ahead.
