My (nagging) Back Pain

By Maghrib, I was itching and bored. I have finished a half piece of chocolate cake we got for a party last month, dished out Satay Kajang off the fridge, some capatis, biscuits, cereal drinks, OJs etc. Not doing anything is driving me up the walls.

This morning, I was in the O.T. after being diagnosed with Lumbar Facet Arthritis. Once upon a time, I Superman-ed somewhere along Jalan Semarak in front of Celcom and landed 2 inches off a front wheel of a car. That was 11 years back. That is one theory. Theory no. 2 - the excess flabs. Those, coupled with heavy drives up and down the peninsular years back could be it.
Whatever that is, it is here. My facet joints are pressing against each other, as the cartilage for vertebrae (fulamak!) no. 3, 4 & 5 are all dried up, and the vertebraeas thinning (or discs slipping), causing it to hurt. OK OK, I did not take Biology in school, so I'll pass trying to write something intelligent that I could find in the web - we all could do that.

Layman's term is a backpain due to excessive use, incorrect posture, or heavy fall - all I have done over the years.

The treatment I opted beyond physiotheraphy and acupuncture is to do a Lumbar RFA (radio frequancy ablation) procedure, where they inserted 6 badass needles up my back to the accuracy of an fluoroscopy (fulamak lagi), and the doctors will stimulate the nerves to check if they are at the right position, which triggers some muscles. I could have been doing Vanilla Ice's Ice Ice Baby for all I care while deeply sedated with my bums up in the sky. Simpang...

I was out of the O.T. after an hour, and only woke up around noon. After lunch, I was already lying down with remotes in my hand. I have offdays till Friday - best rest after long LSD - ever, but not!
No wait, guys... I am not fishing. Do not worry as I am alright. The drugs and rest will be ok. A swim is a must tomorrow afternoon, and the next, and the next. Runs? Suppose the higher impact runs will wait, after all, this is Zero Week.

OK, gotta go back to watching From Paris With Love now. Few more DVDs to go.
Note to wife - please lock the kitchen and hide the key!

If some company has this "forced leave" then just consider yourself as having a "forced rest". Get well soon bro!

Lock the kitchen and hide the key? OK Boss!Probably, on your part should hide the car keys too....kalau tak, i pulak yang 'merayap' this confinement period. :)
Btw,can't agree more with shuk. U should really have MANDATORY good rest, others can wait. Kalau sakit lagi cemane? I jugak susah nti.
