Dare to Dream?
You know what? I woke up at 5-to-7 a.m.!
Grab my gears by the door, keys, stop at 7-11 for my hydrations, set sail to full speed to Padang Merbuk, etc. Lift the anchors, and go.
Fat chance!
The earlier plan was to run Bukit Aman to Matrade, and re-join the crowd at Double Hills, and back. To make it back at 8 a.m., charge the Milo van (ok, that would be legally stealing) and be home in time to grab Iris gear, herself and head to IIS's pool.
Orang kata, kita hanya merancang...
Instead, we had a big breakfast, Iris had a blast at the pool, I had a big lunch, slept heavenly (oh, I dreamt being super late for a marathon, being locked in a hotel room), woke up for more food, and cooked dinner (we tried Thai green curry) and made Lemon Tart.
Just trying to enjoy family time and trying to put on some weight.
Even managed a recovery swim before lunch. Managed a 1k, with left shoulder still stiff from last Friday. The kicking lesson too, kicked in some sense. I could feel it being a little effortless, and breathing more controlled. But the coordination needs a lot of work. Instead of providing the soft nudge before arm pushes, it sort of move whenever, stopped, and move whenever...
Ah, that needs polishing, I agree.
The race - 1, the pirate - 0. There will come lots of other days, and that is inevitable. Happy Weekdays!
