Monday Jolt! Better than Coffee
We started our office day today, with a snake of one colleague's incoming tray. My colleague was flustering about why the many hp charger cables (hp charger station) were moving, where in fact it was a baby python, just inches off her fingers.
There was my new designer reporting for work this morning, who caught it with chopsticks, and released the baby snake into the wild in front of our office. On second thought, there are thousands of school kids all the time next door, but oops! But hey, what a day to start your first day in the office, eh?
Notably, I had a great weekend! Saturday morning doing LSD with a bunch of great company. We met at Bukit Aman with Det, Shuk, Nik and Diket, after losing Ian and Ziff as casualties. We have not met for quite awhile, so anything goes. I stopped short of the excitement my vacuum stomach, void of solid breakfast, with Gatorades making waves and uttering loud noises. Lessons learnt, padan muka... Anyway, the run from Tijani was disrupted on otherwise a superb excursion... I think even the macaques were enjoying the jokes... great ones, there!
On Sunday, it was a Bomba Run - a recovery for me. I didn't even allow myself to drop out, as I have 4 bibs with me, for Shuk, Ian, Dr. Zana etc. We had a surprise when Kash came to join us, after a long 55+ km in Putrajaya (PoJ, the Mosque, PICC). Just a quick banter, as we were already late. I thought of running easy with Ian, Kash and Dr. Zana, but lost them as soon as we entered the kandang, and I made few stops saying hi to Rahman, Jin, etc etc etc... so good to see many familiar faces.
It was a race I realised how I missed short distance running... never mind I stopped few times to clear my running nose etc, but 10k is not uninteresting, and I loved the fast pace... especially when I have a lot of energy to speed from Parliament building to the end... I so looking forward for Siemens Run coming soon.
The afternoons - blissful with family time. We have not had a lot of family time alone for the longest of time now. Swimming with Iris, and walking with her to the park (our plan to go running was hampered by the storm), cuddling Aiden (who has already learnt the art of senyum tersipu-sipu), and just talk to my wife, having lunch and dinner together. Simple stuff...
And it's Monday again. Before I know it, the wonderful weekend is here again...
