Relight My Fire!

I am worried. I can't help but to worry. Golazo, on their first day of bib collection, did not improve lightyears from Octagon's last year. I fantasize a breezy collection, nice vest, but so far... nope... not even remotely convinced. After a crappy 2009, one would make a quantum leap so impressive, so to speak.

Firstly, they must have dedicated the counters in ratio of the registration, as the Full Marathoners have only 2 counters as compared to 9 for 10k category, and 4 for Kid's Dash (come on!). And we moved only slowly when they took out the Bulk Collection queue. Too early to tell? If it is, I stand corrected. But Golazo sure has tonnes of balls at stake here, and runners will scrutinize everything after a bitter event last year.
By the time I was done, the queue snaked towards the main entrance of the stadium as Full Marathoners rushed in between lunch hour. Bet it would be different at 4p.m. though.

I was thankful for the limited vendors selling stuff as my wallet screams in search to replenish at the next oasis, but it is good to know that we now could afford to shop for a Chevy in their spare time - you know... for kicks.

Worry I now must. It clearly sends a signal of commercialism over pure passion.

Anyway, I am cleaning my Blowfish, just in case I need to have a comfort of constant refills. Because even with my belt, it's useless if they cannot be refilled at stations. I do not want to queue for water, or cringe unnecessarily at volunteers.

o yes, it was kind of weird seeing fellow comrades in working attires. Hah! It was then that I realised our weekly uniforms are shorts and drifits, I hardly have any other mental image of them as professionals. Simply put - Supermans! Normal people, decent job... super powers (in drifits)!

So for Sunday... jom jumpa bawah pokok, around 4 a.m.!

Reading some of the blogs, some had a good experience. Think its also the first day where all are eager to get their hands on the kits. But that isnt a reason to do worse. Aiyo, hope there will be plenty of water during the run. Now, shall i bring my plastic card...

See you there syah under the pokok and god speed.
