Free Mud Spa 2010
Great races in KL are hard to come by. After 2 years of learning how to participate in running the races, suffice to say that many races in KL are, to me, superficial and monotonuous. I have learnt to pick-and-choose, based on exclusive criterias, and must-do races.
Since my first time doing it in 2008, Genting Trailblazer is a must-do, hands down!
Since all (almost) RBUs were there, I'll save a lengthy report and pics, as they are all the same. Chances are, I'd nick 'em from FB anyway. It was worth noted that the route has changed slightly with an addition of some fresh trails earlier used for the Cross Country, but the remaining course are similar. Lack of rainy days did offer a more runnable tracks and less slides down the hills. And since there was no division of Adventure and Competitive Category, we had the trails practically pristine, void of the cow shed situation in last years'.
My partner was a little bit under the weather this time, unlike his gungho-ness. I am glad he is recovering just fine.
Trailblazer this year taught me how to be unselfish too. Teamwork is paramount, and I failed when my partner needed me the most. Hours pounding the tarmac on LSDs down the drain, they were all pointless. At one point, I was worried sick when 2 medics were seen running down, and it could have been my partner. What one earth do I tell his wife? Yes, running trails are not anywhere nearly as easy as road runs. But, lucky he was ok, or I'd be in deep shit!
The exit, the obstacles etc... and if it's any consolation, we had a good spread, like TNF, too. Giant bananas, (bland and distasteful) kuetiaws, chocolate cakes, boiled eggs etc. Freeflow of cold Milo and 100+, water - good stuff.
We left when Jaja and Amy returned from the trails. Glad everyone returned safely, injury-free, and still have the humours intact. Happy Birthday, Diket and Nik! - thanks Ziff for organising, and thanks KJ, Tiff, Azza and Deo for travelling all the way. And the best-est of luck to our dear Shanaz in ING NYC Marathon!

You and your partner did very well bro. The trail was tough as usual, slippery or not.
Good luck training for your next race!
u guys memang awesome and even though i know how big your feet are, everytime tenguk mesti masih, besar betul LOL and now that you have 12 fingers on them hahahah
Hey bro, really no harm done. I would expect you to be ahead too. At least I had to push myself .... or things would be even slower.
Selfish? Definitely NOT. You waited for 15mins dude for me .. that was a VERY long waiting time for a race. Moreover, it's not really a race that you can wait for people anywhere you want. It's single track with very evil terrain :) Seriously, I shld thnk u for your great teamwork shown. (now, it makes me think why r u thinking otherwise ... hahahha)
awesome run. seriously bro, this is just your beginning. You'll do super fine in the running scene!
this year punya mmg happening. previous years agak kurang kawan2 buat gempak.
dont worry la bro, what happen, happen, no heart feeling. Do better next time :) ape pun congrats!

Che - Deo ada banyak one-liner quip yang sungguh menghiburkan... "wife Zack boleh masak banyak2 sebab Zack sibuk lari, tak kacau dia" - classic!
Ziff - beli beskal? lambat lagi lah, rasa bersalah kat kasut lari and pull buoy wa...
Zack - kau sibuk ambik gambar kat belakang, patut le lambat. aku mmg bangsa cilok gambar orang kat FB je... kau bila nak ada FB and DM nih? senang nak lambung ni
Hanchik - thanks bro. Tapi otromen lagi power :D
